FAQ
Q: Is an Air Oasis air purifier better than a HEPA air filter?
A: First and foremost, a HEPA air filter is simply that, a filter. It can only remove particles as small as 0.3 microns from the air that passes through it, while Air Oasis air purifiers are powerful purifiers that decontaminate and sanitize the air and surfaces by destroying biological contaminants like bacteria, viruses, mold, mildew, fungi, and their spores, harmful fumes, smoke and chemical gases, removing harmful particulates, and neutralizing all unpleasant and offensive odors. They are the most technologically advanced air purifiers in the industry, hands down. And as for noise, they are not just quiet, they are nearly silent! HEPA filters are fragile glass-fiber filters that MUST be replaced when dirty. Maintenance on the Air Oasis Air Purifiers is as simple as replacing the AHPCO™ cell every three years.
Q: How do Air Oasis air purifiers compare to ozone generators / negative ion generators?
A: Air Oasis air purifiers do not use glass plates like other negative ion and ozone generators. As a result, they do not require maintenance, and do not produce nitrogen oxides like air cleaners that do use glass plates. Nitrogen oxides can result in a "metallic" or "bleach-like" odor. These oxides can also serve as a minor lung irritant if occurring in high enough concentrations. Air Oasis Air Purifiers, instead use a safe, regulated, low voltage control system to power the AHPCO™. The energy emitted from the lamp, both induces and naturally limits the creation of ozone, generates purifying hydroxyls, Photocatalytic Ions, and a cold gas plasma.
Q: Since Air Oasis Air Purifiers do not rely on air filters, how do they clean the air?
A: Air Oasis Air Purifiers clean the air in 2 ways, inside and outside of the unit. Air inside the purification chamber is exposed to the Air Oasis AHPCO Cell that produces friendly oxidizers. This destroys bacteria, fungi, viruses, and other pollutants (including unpleasant odors). This 'ultra-pure' air then carries the friendly oxidizers and its purifying results to the air and surfaces throughout your home or office.
The AHPCO cell creates an Advanced Oxidation Process consisting of: Hydroperoxides, ozonide ions, super oxide ions, UV light rays and hydroxide ions. All are friendly oxidizers. By friendly oxidizers we mean oxidizers that revert back to oxygen and hydrogen after the oxidation of the pollutant.
